SEA Games 2027 Countdown Campaign — Penang Island

Booked through a state-appointed contractor for the Penang state government's SEA Games countdown campaign.

Objective

Promote the countdown to the 2027 Malaysia SEA Games across Penang Island over a single weekend, reaching many neighbourhoods with one asset instead of many fixed billboards.

Location & route

Penang Island — a roving route around the island over two days. At several locations chosen by the state, the truck parked so the screen faced the crowd, then moved on to the next stop.

Deployment

Weekend package (2 days). The truck played the SEA Games countdown content on the screen while driving the route and at each stop. Campaign content, stop locations, and public communications were handled by the state; we supplied the truck, driver, route driving, and on-screen playback. The job was outside our home base, so travel beyond the included 250 km was billed on top.

Outcome

One asset, many neighbourhoods, one weekend — the mix of moving and parked time a fixed billboard can't offer. The 5,000-nit screen stays visible in daylight with no external power, content can be updated as a countdown changes, and the state needed only a short booking rather than a long-term media contract. A good fit for state and local government campaigns, public awareness drives, and event countdowns that need to reach several districts in a short time.
